Two-Hour Beginner Flying Lesson For Two
The same two-hour lesson, in the Piper Warrior, with somebody you know in the back seat. One of you takes the lesson. The other listens on the intercom, watches the ground lesson and takes the photographs. Partners and parents tend to book this one, and plenty of people fly better with somebody watching than without.
The Warrior is a PA-28-161: four seats, a low wing and a hundred and sixty horsepower. The guest pays nothing extra and does not need to do anything except sit still for the takeoff.
The Two Hours
| Minutes | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 30 | Ground lesson: the controls, the instruments and the plan |
| 10 | Preflight walk-around with the checklist |
| About 70 | Flying, over Simi Valley and the Santa Susana Mountains |
| 10 | Debrief and your signed logbook entry |
What $449 Covers
The airplane, the fuel, your instructor for the full two hours, the ground lesson, the debrief and the guest seat. Nothing is added at the desk. If the person flying enrolls in a course within 24 hours of landing, the whole $449 comes off the package.
One Quick Check Before You Book
The Piper Warrior limit is 180 lb per person and 360 lb for the two of you together. It is a weight and balance calculation, not a judgment. Close to it, or not sure? Call (818) 330-1318 before you book.
Lessons run 9 AM to 5 PM, seven days. Free rescheduling up to 24 hours before, and if the weather says no, you do not pay. The detail is on our weather and cancellation policy page.
